Zapper.io has a very different combat mechanic than traditional snake-style games.


Small and large players will be attacked at all times.


The bigger you are, the more vulnerable you will be to surprise attacks from smaller players.

Avoid frontal contact with players larger than you: this will result in instant death. Attack their tails instead. Grab food to charge yourself up with energy, which will allow you to get a temporary speed boost.

Stay connected to the world wide web to move faster, but be careful as the web tends to be more crowded with enemy players.
