A Game Overview
ev.io is a futuristic Halo-like first-person shooter in the browser.
The game currently supports two game modes. In deathmatch, compete in a free-for-all against other players to get the most kills. In team deathmatch, work with your team to get the most collective kills.
The weapon system in ev.io is a bit different from other browser shooters, such as Krunker or Venge, where you can't pick up weapons on the map. In ev.io, you choose the primary weapon you start with: a hand cannon, an automatic rifle, or a laser rifle. Each of the different primary weapons goes into a different archetype. For example, the automatic rifle does little damage but has a fast rate of fire. The laser rifle does a lot of damage but has a slow rate of fire.
In addition to choosing a primary weapon, you can also pick up weapons on the map. There are three possible weapons you pick up: the shotgun, the sniper and the rocket launcher. The weapons you pick up are quite a bit more powerful than your main weapon, but they have limited ammunition. So you have to make your shots count to get the most out of them.
The game also has a fairly complex skill system, which is mainly focused on movement and grenades.
Grenades
:You can choose 2 out of any 3 grenades: smoke grenades, standard grenades and flash grenades.
Movement
:You spend 3 points on any 3: teleport, jump and sprint. You can spend 1 point on sprint for example, and 2 on teleport. If you spend all 3 on jumping, you can jump 3 times.
Jumping does not spend stamina, but other things, like teleporting and sprinting do. The movement mechanics in ev.io are diverse.
Compete on the leader board or visit the in-game store to unlock skins and other cosmetics (coming soon). You can also play private matches with friends by clicking on the share game link in the menu (press M to access).
